Dave S. Autrey

Herbert Autrey – World War I

The four men
are the Autrey brothers, their wives and kids. Dave and Agnes Autrey are on
the right with their first 3 children. Bill, Flo and Dodd. Their Uncle Bill
was a bachelor on left next to his "dour" looking mother. Their Father died when Dave was born,
so can you blame her for being so grim looking having to raise 7 kids by herself.
She also had 1 baby and two children die and lived in the Ozarks. She must
have had a very hard life.
Funny story about this photo:
Apparently the woman standing to the left of this photo is actually married to the gentleman in the center
with the 4 children. Problem is that she was in love with the man on the left side of the photo. She took
the opportunity to have her photo taken next to him at the very last second before this was taken – you can
tell that the mother wasn’t too pleased with this whole situation.

Need some help identifying this one

We're pretty sure it's not all the "Autrey" kids of Dave S. but the photo
wasn't marked well - lesson for
the younger Autrey's - mark your photo's well for future generations
